KNIT ♥ WITS!
We are a loosely organized group of women who enjoy knitting and crocheting as well as each others company. We meet each Tuesday morning along with the quilters about 9:30 and we stay as long as we are able to until about 11:30.
Paula Johnson, our “master knitter” has graciously agreed to teach, help and tutor those of us who are not so able. She teaches us new and old techniques, tips, etc. to help us out and with great patience, I might add. We take turns once a month bringing goodies to eat at our break time. We learn a lot about life and each other and enjoy the fellowship.
All are invited to join us. We have been making “prayer shawls” this year which were dedicated in church in October. We will be taking them to some older people who are in need of some warmth as they pray this winter. Soon we will change our focus to hats, scarves, and mittens. Come join us any time you can. We have some yarn and knitting needles or you may provide your own. We are always willing to take any left-over yarn that you may have tucked away somewhere. Definitely a fun way to serve the Lord!
